WALTER CABRAL is born. Singer. He was a precocious vocalist: when he was only twelve he sang in the orchestra of Anselmo Aieta. In 1935 he became a member of a very rhythmic orchestra that made tango a mass phenomenon: Juan D’Arienzo. The figure we are paying tribute to is the first one to record with this conductor for the Victor label a milonga and three vals. He left the “Rey del compás” (The King of beat) in 1937.
