ALFREDO AVILÉS dies. Pianist, conductor and composer. Before making his foray into tango and into other Creole rhythms, he was one of the first jazz players in the country. It is known that jazz and tango were contemporary, even if the former got to Buenos Aires with a few years delay. The personality we are remembering today composed only a few tango scores.
