On this date Francisco Canaro and Enrique Famá recorded MILONGUEANDO. It is accepted by historians that at the beginning, the words tango and milonga had opposed meanings to those known today. Originally, tango meant the place for dancing, while milonga was the dance that the Afro-Americans and the “compadritos” (hoodlums) were starting to create.
